California Girl

Five years ago, when I met Brennan, he was surfing the waves in Huntington Beach, California. A far cry from the humidity, corn fields, and minivan he will soon be driving here in Indiana:) That's just one of the many reasons he is an amazing husband and father! He just wishes I would have come with a warning sign, "Extra Fertile!"
A couple of weeks ago, Brennan took Emersyn to California to surprise his mom for her birthday. Although I missed her terribly, I know she had a wonderful time visiting her Grandma, Grandpa, Nana T, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins:)  Here are a few pictures of Brennan, Emersyn, and her cousin Liam at the beach.

Dr.'s Appointment

Today we had a fetal echo scan, which is a sonogram of the babies' hearts.  Good news...the cardiologist said they all look great!  My next appointment is August 8th.  We'll find out their weights and measurements at that time.  Thanks for all of the sweet comments, thoughts, and prayers!

Where's Mi-Mi?

Since the beginning of June, my mom has been staying with us during the week to help with Emersyn, as the doctors said I should not lift over fifteen pounds. Mi-Mi is our housekeeper, cook, and above all, the best babysitter I could ask for! Emersyn adores her. The past two days, Mi-Mi has been gone to St. Louis for a Cardinal's game. As you can see, I can't mention the "M" word, or Em runs to the door crying:(
I don't know how I will ever thank my Mom enough for all she does! I just know that if I'm half the mom and grandma she is, I'll be happy!

Swimming at Sagamore....

Heck No! I did not get in a swimsuit and sit in this 100 degree weather!:) Thanks Aunt Megan and Uncle Pete for letting Em tag along. Megan is good to take pictures, so I don't feel too left out. Also, thanks to Mi -Mi for the matching swimsuits! She always keeps the girls looking stylish.
Emersyn just loves the water! I know she gets that from her daddy:)

As for me, I'm feeling pretty good today. Just the usual backache and tired spells. If that's all I have to deal with, I won't complain. Well... I'm trying not to:)

Emersyn, Finley, and Beau

Emersyn is so lucky she gets to hang out with her cousins, Finley and Beau, almost everyday! Finley is two and a half, and Beau is 10 months old. They are both so sweet and have such fun personalities. There is never a dull moment when the three of them are together.  Megan and Pete recently moved just ten minutes from us and have been a huge help taking care of Emersyn. She just had a slumber party with them last night. Finley has nicknames for all of us. We've referred to them so much that now we're all using them! Finley is "Ci Ci."  I'm "Aunt Pee Pee" (lovely, I know). Brennan is "Unkie Brennan".  Emersyn is "Baby." Beau is" Beau-Man." And finally, Deuce, the dog is "Deuce-Man." I'm so grateful that they get to grow up close to each other. I have so many special memories of hanging out with my cousins when I was little.

Here's our sweet cast of characters.......

Belly Pictures :)

Here are a couple pictures we have taken over the past few weeks. I rarely get out of my pajamas, so it's hard to keep up with the pictures as I'm usually not in the mood:) I knew my belly was getting bigger when three people at the grocery store asked if I would be delivering in a few days. It was so funny to see their reaction when I told them I'm having 3 babies and that I still have 15 weeks left!  My actual due date is November 28th, but they won't let triplets go past 36 weeks. Therefore, my goal is to make it until the end of October.

Here I am 2 weeks ago (20 weeks).....

Here I am today (22 weeks).......

My First Post

Almost four years ago I began following my best friend Tiffany's blog, as she shared her journey  having quads. I remember checking every day to see if she had any new posts.  I was eager to read about their progress.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever be starting a blog about having triplets, but here I am,  twenty-one weeks pregnant with spontaneous triplet boys!  Brennan and I hope this blog serves as a way to keep you updated on our progress so you can share this exciting time with us!

Timeline

March 23rd- Found out I was pregnant!  I was already feeling sick, but figured I was having a boy as I felt so different from my first pregnancy.

April 20th (8 weeks pregnant)- My first sonogram!  A day we will never forget! We walked in to the office thinking we were going to be a family of four, and walked out knowing we would soon be a family of six....Crazy!  To make a long story short, I cried hysterically and Brennan kept repeating, "That's Awesome!"
The doctor told us that Baby A has his own sack, and that Baby's B & C are sharing a sack.

June 8th (15 weeks pregnant)- Found out we were having three boys!  This time, Brennan cried with excitement, and I said, "Are you sure?" :)

June 29th (18weeks pregnant)- We had a two hour ultrasound, as they measured each part of the boys' little bodies. Our high risk doctor said that all three looked healthy and strong! Whew! What a blessing!  At that time their weights were...

Baby A- 11oz
Baby B-   9oz
Baby C-   8oz

July 18th (21 weeks pregnant)- My latest sonogram. I asked Megan, my twin, if she could go with me since Brennan was tied up at work. Thanks Megan! Boy did we fool the nurses and doctors! I had told them I was an identical twin, but I think they had forgotten by that point.
Good news... the boys are really growing!

Baby A- 1 lb, 2oz
Baby B- 1 lb
Baby C- 14 oz

                             Baby A, sucking his thumb:)

                                                                           Baby B

                                                                       Baby C

July 27th- Our next sonogram. It will be an extra long appointment, as a cardiologist will be coming in to thoroughly look at each of the babies' hearts and make sure they are working properly. Please keep us in your prayers:)

In closing, Are we excited?...... Yes!  Overwhelmed?........Yes!  But even so, we look forward to ALL the ups and downs ahead of us, and are grateful we were chosen to have three beautiful babies!
