The boys are still hanging out in the hospital. Unfortunately, the boys caught a cold about a week back, and this has slowed their progress. Hayden and Parker seemed to have gotten the worst of it. Hayden has a nasal cannula, again, to break up the congestion in his chest. It has been hard for all of them to drink out of bottles....but they are still eating. The doctor told us over the weekend that Hayden has tracheomalacia. Basically, it means that an area of his throat isn't as strong as it needs to be and it collapses (for lack of a better term - not as drastic as it sounds) on occasion. He has some difficulty breathing, but at this point doesn't need to go back on any type of ventilation. He is recovering well on his own. His doctor assured us that this is something that he will grow out of....as many pre-mature babies have the same issue. All things told, if this is the worst of the issues, we are in good shape :)
Overall, the boys continue to do well. They are each getting bigger, everyday. We are looking forward to having them home soon. Parker will most likely be the first to come home.
Love to all!
